A new calendar year has begun! I’m really excited about 2012 because there are so many exciting things that will take place for me. Some of which I’m aware of and working towards, others I’m completely unaware of and am looking forward to when they do happen/take place!
I’m not going to express my “resolutions” to you guys, because I don’t have any. I could say that I’d like to read more books in 2012, stay up on current events more, put X amount of dollars away in my savings account, clean out my closet more often, etc. etc. I just believe that if you are going to make a decision and want to change your lifestyle, then you just need to put on your big girl/big boy pants and just do it.
That’s just how my brain works.
One thing that is a definite goal for 2012: I’M GOING TO BUY A CAR. This is a big deal. This means that I also have to learn more about cars. Currently all my knowledge about cars is from watching copious amounts of Top Gear. (My brother and I couldn’t stop laughing when we watched the episode where Jeremy tests the Ford Fiesta). This means that my car knowledge is mixed between metric/British facts and American facts.
I have no idea what I’ll buy.
Everyday for the month of January I will blog about a study I’m going to do in the book of Proverbs. There are 31 chapters and that’s a chapter for every day of the month (most months). Just about every month I aim to read a chapter every day, but I’ll get side tracked or too tired and will end up reading a few chapters every couple days. I haven’t wrote about each chapter either, so I’m looking forward to writing about and applying the wisdom this book provides. If you’re not familiar with the book of Proverbs and would like to learn more about it, please feel free to stop by everyday. Also, please feel free to share your thoughts/comments on the day’s chapter as well.
I look forward to this year and building a stronger community and getting to know more of the people who stop by.
Happy New Year!
