Thank you, to the Beach Boys, for such a fitting lyric.
Last week I said to a friend of mine that I’ve been planning/doing so much whenever I find free time and it seems like I’m trying to make up for last summer. In 8 days it’ll mark a year since my dad has passed. I spent so much of the fall being busy at work and trying to manage a deep depression that I got into. By keeping myself so busy with a lot of fun, I’ve also pushed out personal time and other time that would be spent being more productive in a few areas. I’ve been studying (still) and stopped my cleaning procrastination habit, but I’ve also lost sleep in order to have fun 🙂
BUT
With all this fun time I’ve gone to First Friday, brunch on the Spirit of Philadelphia, Bastille Day, the beach, Delaware State Fair, lots of walks, movies, and spent time with my favorite people.
However, all the while I’d think of things I’d like to blog about, jot down things that came to mind I wanted to write about in my journal, and the like. So, starting August 1st I’m committing to blogging everyday for a month! Most of these posts will be faith oriented – there’s so much I’ve been thinking about, praying about, and hearing. I’ve been put to the test these past six months with so much going on in the world vs. my beliefs. It’s sad, but at the same time I’m not going to move in what I believe, what I’ve been taught, and my opinion. There’s also non-faith topics, like my battle with sugar and carbs. I’m a good baker and I could easily make a man fat and happy with my food… I just need to not do that to myself! haha!
Anyways, here’s some photos of my summer (so far):

So, what have YOU been up to?! Let me know!
Fried. Reese’s. Cups.
Oh, America, you beautiful lunatic.
