I can’t recall if I ever wrote an empties post. While I was housebound due to sinus garbage, I started to find some empty things and thought, “ah, I’ll write about these.”

Let’s start with the Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturizer and Vitamin C Skin Boost Instant Smoother. I’d go in spurts using these products. It reacted well with my oily skin and I’d use them mixed together instead of layering everything on my face. I don’t use a cleanser in the morning, so worked well with my oil cleansing routine. While I liked these products, I’m not sure if I’d repurchase them. It helped my skin look more alive when it did feel dull and grumpy, but I think it also varied with how busy I was and if I ate well or crappy.

Over the summer I’d use this OGX Argan Oil of Morocco Intense Moisturizing Treatment after the beach or when I finally washed my hair. I prefer to use conditioner and then shampoo. It would revive my hair making it softer and healthier. I also used this product when my hair got really dry after going blonde. That was when I learned my hair is changing and blonde & turning 30 isn’t a good combo!

I am particular when it comes to using products for my curls. I don’t let my hair dry naturally, most days, and diffuse my hair in the mornings to make it bouncier and fuller. OGX Coconut Curls Frizz-Defying Curl Styling Milk is light and doesn’t weigh your curls down. If I were to let my hair air dry without product it’s all frizz. If I let my hair air dry with this in it, it’ll dry nicely and it’s dependable on a busy morning (or if you travel to Texas without a diffuser). This product also combines nicely with other products! For example, depending upon how my hair feels I’ll put the anti-breakage serum from the shafts down (next review). The NYM’s Plump for Joy Thickening Hair Lifter pairs great with this product, too. I use them together all the time for my curly hair days. As you can see, I cut things in half to get every last bit of product out.

The Coconut Milk Anti-breakage Serum is one of my most used products. I let my hair go curly, when I blow it out, curl it, and everything in between. This product protects my ends and has really helped avoid split ends. Before using this product, my ends would look horrible. I’d find the spot where my hair broke and would rip the end off. It was a bad habit and it ended due to this product. I use two pumps when I blow dry my hair and one when I let my hair go curly.

For a nearly finished empty is Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea Foundation in Light Medium. This was my summer foundation. I went back and forth between using a beautyblender and my Sigma 3DHD Foundation Brush. It went on very smooth, didn’t melt off my face, and matched well with my summer skin. However, it did not work well when I put a translucent powder on first and then the foundation. During the summer to fall change in weather I did that and my skin would look really patchy by mid-morning. I bought another bottle in a lighter color for the Autumn/Winter months. Tarte is one of my favorite brands and I looooved this foundation. I can’t believe this was my tanned skin color!

Welp, those are my saved empties! I threw away some concealer tubes already, so maybe next time!

What have you emptied lately?!?!
