Current Make-up Wishlist

Have I ever mentioned that I learned the sinful art of vanity and materialism from my grandmothers? They both believe in having a made up face and all the newest this and that in lady’s fashion, accessories, or make-up. They also taught me how to live more minimally, because they own so much stuff it sometimes gives me anxiety. (I mean, how do you keep track of all that stuff? why can’t you throw anything away? why do you need to collect Scrubbing Bubbles cans through the decades?)

Anyways. If I find the opportunity to purchase any of the below items, I will. I’d also go through the weighing of why this item over the others. It’s just what I do.

Here we go!

Let’s start with fragrance:

I tend to stick to very similar scents. My favorite is Marc Jacobs’ Daisy and Taylor by Taylor Swift. I’ve never bought a celebrity perfume before, so I was shocked I really like this scent. A couple years ago I fell in love with Jo Malone’s Peony and Blush Suede. I get samples of this and it keeps me going for whenever I want to wear it, but I haven’t spent the money for a bottle of it. I believe it was 2015 when Marc Jacobs’ Mod Noir came out. It was love at first smell. I wish the bottle was more attractive, but I get it.

When it comes to brands, I tend to stick to what I know and what works for me. There are times when I wish I were more risky, but with sensitive skin allergies there are some risks you don’t want to take.

Charlotte Tilbury is one of my favorite brands. Her lipsticks, eye shadows, face make-up, and skin care are all compatible with me. I don’t wear lipstick as often as I’d like, I get caught up on rushing around in the morning and then on weekends I’ll put it on and it either gets wiped off from eating or drinking and then I just keep moving on with the day. Even though that happens, I STILL WANT MORE LIPSTICK! Especially this limited edition shade, English Beauty, and these Nude Pink Lipsticks trio.

I’d also like to get the Natural Beauty Face Palette. Of course I have similar items to these colors, but it’s all together and it’s the quality of the brand. I wouldn’t mind the Beauty Glow palette either, but that’d be too much 😉

Tarte is another one of my favorite brands. Anything they come out with catches my attention and I’ll take the time to check it out. I’ll watch YouTube reviews, I’ll check the items in Sephora or Ulta, and I look for the best deal that’s being offered. I have a lot of Tarte palettes and the last thing I need is another eye shadow palette, but I could use that Toasted Palette! I don’t think it’s too comparable to UD Naked Heat palette. Those shadows seem more orange than Tarte’s Toasted.

I do not own any palettes from Too Faced and I’ve only ever used their Hangover Primer. The Hangover Primer did well with my skin and so I could only hope anything else from the brand would do well. I do love the Sweet Peach and Just Peachy Matte palettes and I’ve checked out them out to see whether I REALLY wanted to purchase them… and I do.

Thankfully, I learned Necessity vs. Want as a kid. These are Wants.

What’s on your Want List? Make-up or not, do share!

  1. One Christmas, my brother bought my sister and I perfume gift sets. She got one of the Taylor Swift fragrances, and I got Beyonce’s Heat. I was really surprised by how much I liked it!

I’ve been a Marc Jacobs perfume girl for a while, and I loooooove the eyeliners too. Need to try more of the makeup. Well, want, not need.
