What I Ate Wednesday! #6

Happy Wednesday!

As always, thanks to Jen from Peas and Crayons for hosting every Wednesday!

I’ve reawakened my expensive love of kombucha!  It’s been a good while since having a bottle… and then I went to Whole Foods and bought a lot of bottles.  I bet if I didn’t have a bottle of kombucha for breakfast, I wouldn’t have bought so many!

Yes, I needed to do a good grocery run and had a lovely afternoon at Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s.  I like to go to Whole Foods for specialty items and their bulk bins.  I’ve scoured local places that allow you to buy in bulk and nothing beats WF prices.  I was a little surprised, but that’s okay because it gives me a better excuse to enjoy their food bar 🙂

I enjoyed some roasted potatoes, toasted sesame slaw, a veggie burger, roasted green beans, and vegan samosas.  I was eye-ing up some tofu (a very rare occasion) and this guy was standing near an empty food tray on his tip toes looking for someone… he was looking for the cook bringing the new food tray of samosas.  I watched this guy put about a dozen of these in a to go box, so I figured they had to be good!  THEY WERE!

That box definitely contained some extra veggies!

I bought a flat of organic strawberries for 9.99 and practically danced while hulling them!  I’ve been waiting to find some good organic strawberries!  So, for dinner I had a bowl of Kashi Go Lean Crunch with a mountain of strawberries:

Do you have a place you go for some specialty items?  Where do you typically buy your groceries?
