Happy Wednesday Everyone! Doesn’t it feel like a long week? It has for me…
As always, a big thank you to Jen at Peas and Crayons for hosting!
These eats are coming from my birthday weekend! I have to say, when I reflected back on my eats for April… I’m not so sure I’ve served up an extra cup consistently. I do know that May will include a lot of extra cups because I have set a goal to follow a Spring Cleanse!
Moving on!
I had to wake up early and drive my brother to the train station and I couldn’t resist treating myself to a very rare Starbucks order: a vanilla bean frappuccino affagato. Once I was in a Starbucks and ordered a Caramel Macchiato Frappuccino (maybe that was it?) and the barista was new and the store was understaffed at the moment and a little busy… she handed me my ordered and apologized because she wasn’t sure if she got it right. She didn’t, but I asked what she made and it tasted soooo good!
I bought a bag of Daiya Mozzarella cheese to try out on pizza, SO GOOD! If I opt to have an indulgent dinner it consists of pizza and beer (Dogfish Head, to be exact). I’m pumped that this cheese tastes so good on pizza, because maybe I won’t indulge in the real thing!
I didn’t have a birthday cake, instead I bought another quart of organic strawberries, a vegan brownie from Whole Foods and a pint of So Delicious Dark Chocolate Coconut Ice Cream. I had half the brownie, 1.5 cup of sliced strawberries and a scoop of ice cream two nights in a row:
OH, THIS WAS SOOOOO GOOD!
I also didn’t think the statement through when I said, “let’s get crabs!” It was a bit traumatizing to pull apart these crabs & it took 2-3 days for me to go through my purchase because it’s a lot of work to get this meat:
Other than that, my weekend did consist of some smoothies (not exciting photos) and grilled veggies (soo good I didn’t get around to stop and take a picture!). I’m really excited about the in season fruits and veggies and starting to eat cooler meals and grilled meals.
Any good eats lately?
OH, that ice cream looks divine!
It was such a luxurious tasting dessert! I’m not sure I’ll get tired of cups of fresh berries with a scoop!
I love daiya but also, don’t consider cheese “indulgent”. Allow your self to have some of the real thing it that is what your body is craving! On a side note: I love your dessert!
very true Allison! I just hate what dairy does to my skin and that’s why I consider it an indulgence when I do have it. I guess I should try and alter that mind set.
