It’s Wednesday and time for another WIAW post!
Aaaannnd… I haven’t been eating my greens as much as I should for this month!
I started my day out with a smoothie:
3 ice cubes of kale/cucumber juice
4 ice cubes of something that I froze and don’t remember (it might include pureed cranberries) <– it needs to be used & I just can’t remember what the heck it is, other than fruit!
1 6 oz. cup of pomgranate green tea
1 c. of Trader Joe’s Berry Cherry frozen fruit.
I don’t like adding water or regular ice cubes to my smoothie, and I’m not fond of adding sweeteners to my smoothies either. So, I buy really fruity hot tea flavors and add a cup of hot tea. My smoothie ends up a nice texture and not like a frozen slushie. To each their own!
I’ve still been exploring my new surroundings and had opted to go to the beach and see what that’s all about. I’m really really impressed with Delaware’s beaches!! I’m kinda spoiled and when I’ve had the fortunate experience of visiting beautiful beaches in Europe and Mexico… you just won’t settle for a beach in New Jersey. Rhode Island has nice beaches, but that’s a much longer drive!
Anyways, I had lunch at Go Fish! They seriously have THE BEST fish and chips I’ve had on this side of the Atlantic. And they have the right kind of malt vinegar (I’ve tasted some gross malt vinegars) at the table for your chips. It was so good I forgot a picture of the meal… sorry!
I had a bag of Alexia Sweet Potato Tater Tots and opted to make Mama Pea’s Curried Sweet Tater Tot Casserole. This is one of my favorite dishes to toss together and make. I didn’t have any frozen peas on hand, but I did have green beans that I had cut up and used instead. To accompany this dish was a Samuel Smith’s Winter Welcome that I’ve had around.
Welp, that’s all I have to share for this week. Have you eaten out anywhere new and fun??
